Lions Eye Hospital – A Dream Fulfilled
Lions Club of Ghaziabad, chartered in 1963, organised its first Eye Relief Camp in Ghaziabad. After seeing the overwhelming response and demand, it was decided to have a permanent Eye Hospital in Ghaziabad. With the repetition of eye camps every year, greater intensity was felt and ultimately 15 founder Life members joined hands together on 15th October 1976 to sign the Trust deed which got its registration under Societies Act on 14th April, 1978
A piece of land measuring 3200 Sq. Yards was allotted by the Ghaziabad Improvement Trust at the prime location in E- Block, Kavi Nagar, Ghaziabad. Now, it is a beautiful fully renovated building covering approx 12000 Sq. Ft. is providing multi speciality services having well equipped Operation Theatres matching any international standards with modern machines & gadgets including Phaco Machine, 4 General Wards with a capacity of 80 beds in total and 4 private Wards fitted with AC, big chamber for Eye Surgeon, refraction room, Administrative Block, stores, a big lounge for waiting-patients and mega camps and with a big lush green lawn is in the service of the public.
